Changing a Passenger Type

FAQ--Passenger-type.jpg

Why do I need to select passenger types when making a booking?

In order for you and your travelling companions to be able to check-in successfully for your flight you must ensure that you select the correct passenger type that applies to the passengers at the time of travel. Please note that between booking and travel time some of your group may move from one category to another.
  • Adults need to be over 16 years old at the time of travel
  • Teens are between 12 and 15 years old at the time of travel

Please note that between booking and travel time some of your group may move from one category to another:

  • if a teen turns 16 during your trip, two separate one-way bookings should be made for your group. Children are between 2 and 11 years old at the time of travel
  • if a child turns 12 during your trip, two separate one-way bookings should be made for your group
  • Infants need to be less than 2 years old at the time of travel
  • if an infant turns 2 during your trip, two separate one-way bookings should be made for your group
  • Check-in online cannot be completed if the incorrect passenger type has been selected

Are you unable to check in your child or teen?

If you are experiencing issues checking in a Child or Teen, for example you cannot select your child’s year of birth in the drop down menu, then it is possible that the wrong passenger type was selected during the booking process.
