For safety reasons, children aged between 2 and 11 years must sit next to an accompanying adult, and infants (8 days to 23 months inclusive) must sit on an accompanying adult's lap.

Families may choose either to reserve seats or select free random allocation.

If families choose to reserve their seats, children’s seats must be selected next to the adult’s reserved seats. In this case, check-in online will be available 60 days before departure.

If random allocation is selected, children will be seated next to an accompanying adult on the same reservation free of charge. Other adults and teens on the booking may be allocated seats separately. 

If there are no available seats together on your flight, then we regret to advise that you must select a different flight.

Infants aged up to 7 days cannot be accepted for travel on any Ryanair flights.

Infants (aged 8 days to 23 months inclusive) travelling with Ryanair must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over (one infant per adult). All infants must sit on an adult’s lap and do not qualify for a separate bag allowance. However, we allow a baby bag up to 5kg (dimensions: 45x35x20cms) for babies travelling on an adult's lap.

There are baby changing facilities on board located at the rear of the aircraft. we do not offer baby bottle warming service.

If an infant reaches the age of 2 years before their return flight, they must pay the full fare for that return flight only.

When making your booking, please select Infant in the drop-down when choosing passenger type.

Family Instalment Payment is a new benefit for Family Plus bookings, allowing customers to pay 50% upfront and 50% later if booked at least 45 days before departure. The second payment must be made on Ryanair’s website by 40 days pre-departure, or the booking is cancelled and refunded as credit.

Family Instalment Payment has been added as a new benefit to Family Plus bookings. Customers will be able to split their booking payment in two, 50% will be payable at the time of booking and 50% later.

To be able to use this option, your travel needs to be booked at least 45 days pre-departure and final payment will be due 40 days pre-departure.

Customers need to come back to Ryanair website to make the second payment themselves.

How can I proceed with my second payment of Family Instalment Payment?

You only need to follow the following steps:

  • Log in to your account or retrieve your booking
  • Go to My Bookings and select the upcoming trip that is pending to be paid
  • Select Complete Payment
  • Proceed with the payment

If the balance is not paid at least 40 days pre-departure, your booking will be automatically cancelled. The instalment paid will be refunded to the Wallet section of your myRyanair Account.

Credit cannot be exchanged for cash and must be used within 12 months of the issued date.

Family Instalment Payment will not be available where any third-party services (such as accommodation, events, activities, airport transfer, airport parking, car hire or travel insurance) are included on a booking (airport fast track services excluded).
